The IFoLG annual show was co-hosted this year by the International Internet Leathercrafter's Guild, and Pitt Pounder's Leather Guild, and was held in Butler Pennsylvania.

Prairie States was in attendance, and our members made an excellent showing, bringing home a total of nine ribbons including a "Best of Category" for Juan's leather "stone" choker.

Congrats to our competition winners,
  • Don (a 2nd & a 3d place)
  • Juan (1st place & Best of Category)
  • Clyde (1st place, two 2nd place, & two 3d place)
Special thanks goes out to Pat and Sande, for helping with the set up, the display looked great. Better than we’ve seen it in a long time. In all, 17 Guilds displayed their works.   

The show was informative, as always, there were workshops and demonstrations where you could see and learn from masters of the craft. While you learn and watch you also get to visit with others.   

Saturday night was the Awards ceremony, which was different this time. No banquet, instead there was pie and cider. A chance to chat and cheer on the winners of the competition .

Competition items are always something to behold. Beautiful work by all who entered.
One thing to do on Saturday night is the flea market. If you need tools, doodle pages or most anything this is the place to be. Some of us stayed wayafter midnight still buying things.    

Of course, the raffle is what many of us hang in there for on Sunday. The big tool raffle of $1000.00 wentright off to our own Pat. Surely we know he’ll put all the tools he bought to good use in creating those awesome sporrans.
